impossible to reverse.

Meeting this moment requires more than slogans or partisan talking points. It requires intellectual honesty, historical perspective, and the willingness to confront uncomfortable facts. Serious problems cannot be solved if they cannot first be discussed openly.

That is why I created Europe Uncensored.

This publication exists for readers who value truth, clarity, and transparency over political orthodoxy. The mainstream media filters Europe’s most important stories through predetermined narratives that obscure rather than illuminate the challenges facing our civilization. Europe Uncensored seeks to do the opposite.

Each week, you’ll receive analysis that explains the institutions of the European Union without the jargon, provides historical and political context often missing from today’s headlines, and examines the social, cultural, and political forces reshaping Europe. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of Sweden and Swedish politics—developments that increasingly foreshadow broader trends across the continent.

Europe Uncensored is built on three commitments.

First, expertise.

Every article is grounded in firsthand experience. For nearly two decades, I have worked in European politics at both the national and EU levels. I have served in local government, worked as a senior advisor in the European Parliament, and now represent Sweden as a Member of the European Parliament, where I serve as Vice Chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group. Europe Uncensored helps readers understand not only what is happening in Europe, but why.

Second, intellectual independence.

Europe Uncensored offers a distinctly conservative perspective, but is not driven by partisan loyalty. It is driven by a commitment to follow the evidence wherever it leads. Dissenting viewpoints are dismissed too often not because they are false, but because they challenge prevailing orthodoxies. This publication welcomes rigorous debate and refuses to sacrifice truth for ideological conformity.

Third, a civilizational perspective.

Europe’s challenges cannot be understood in isolation. They are the product of centuries of history, culture, religion, politics, and ideas. Every major story is part of a much larger narrative about the future of Western civilization. Europe Uncensored helps readers understand not only today’s headlines, but the deeper historical forces that produced them and the consequences they hold for the future.

If you believe Europe’s future deserves honest analysis, serious debate, and a willingness to confront reality without illusion, then you’ve found your community.

Welcome to Europe Uncensored.

Subscribe now

Meet Charlie

Sweden was once Europe’s model. extended well beyond Europe’s borders. An outspoken supporter of Israel and one of the European Parliament’s fiercest critics of the Iranian regime, Weimers was personally sanctioned by Tehran in 2022, a distinction he called “a badge of honor.”

After beginning in Sweden’s youth political movement, Weimers served in municipal government before earning a degree in political science from Karlstad University. He also studied in the United States, gaining a firsthand appreciation for American political institutions and the transatlantic alliance. Before entering the European Parliament, he served as political adviser and later chief of staff to Swedish MEP Lars Adaktusson.

In 2018, convinced that Sweden’s political establishment had failed to confront the country’s mounting challenges, Weimers left the Christian Democrats to join the Sweden Democrats. His first campaign for the European Parliament captured his political philosophy in four words: “More Sweden. Less Brussels.”

Inside Parliament, Weimers has combined legislative work with an aggressive campaign to expose Islamist influence within European institutions. He commissioned Network of Networks: The Muslim Brotherhood in Europe, a landmark investigation mapping the Brotherhood’s extensive network across the continent and examining European Union funding streams connected to Islamist organizations. That work was followed by Unmasking the Muslim Brotherhood: Brotherism, Islamophobia, and the EU, a second major report examining the movement’s influence on European policymaking and public discourse, released in 2025.

Weimers has served on the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, worked extensively on religious freedom and transatlantic relations, and represented Parliament in its delegation for relations with the United States. Today, as Vice Chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, he is at the center of many of the defining debates over Europe’s security, identity, sovereignty, and future.

Subscribe now

Charlie Weimers Launches “Europe Uncensored”

News and Commentary from One of Europe’s Leading Conservatives

Charlie Weimers

BRUSSELS—Leading conservative Member of the European Parliament Charlie Weimers today announced the launch of Europe Uncensored, a new publication providing news, analysis, and commentary on the political battles reshaping Europe.
